Work Package 5: Validation of climate reconstruction

Tasks and milestones:
1. Compilation of existing and new documentary climate data.
2. Comparison of climate reconstructions with homogenized long instrumental time series (e.g. Warsaw, Gdańsk and Vilnus) that date back to the 18th century, with documentary data that cover at least 500 years and with dendroclimatological and isotopic time series from tree rings.

Expected results:
New documentary evidence on past climate change in northern Poland, carefully validated continuous, seasonally resolved quantitative temperature series for northern Poland.
