Work Package 4: Calibration and reconstruction

Tasks and milestones:
1. Acquisition of meteorological data from the meteorological stations located near the study site.
2. Homogenization of the respective instrumental records.
3. Calibration in time (abiotic / geochemical and TF-derived time series against homogenized instrumental records), model evaluation, cross-validation and model selection.
4. Modelling of stable oxygen isotope – temperature dependencies using modern environment.
5. Reconstructions of annual summer and winter temperatures for the last 1000 years based on individual and multiple proxy time series.

Expected results:
Continuous, seasonally resolved ensembles of quantitative temperature series for northern Poland.
